COURSE OBJECTIVES:  

The objectives of this course are

To Familiarize Students with Different types of Structures

2

To Equip student with concepts of Arches

3

To Understand Concepts of lateral Load analysis

4

To Familiarize Cables and Suspension Bridges

5

To  Understand Analysis methods Moment Distribution, Kanis Method and Matrix methods

 

 

COURSE OUTCOMES:

 

 

At the end of this course the student will able to:

An ability to do analysis for different types of arches under external forces ,support settlement and temperature effects

An ability to do analysis for multi-storey frames by using approximate methods

CO3

An ability to do analysis for cables structures and suspension bridges

CO4

An ability to do analysis for statically indeterminate beams and frames by using Moment distribution method

CO5

An ability to do analysis for statically indeterminate beams and frames by using Kani’s method

CO6

An ability to do analysis for statically indeterminate beams and frames by using stiffness and flexibility methods
